William McIntoshMcIntosh signed the Treaty of Indian Springs which gave up all Creek land in Georgia. The creeks were so angry at him that the burned his house down (with him in it) and scalped his head.
The Dahlonega Gold RushA farmer named Benjamin Parks was given credit to finding gold. Cherokee were kicked out of Dahlonega because they were not allowed to find or search for gold.
John MarshallMarshall was the chief justice of the US Supreme Court. He agreed with the Cherokee and decided that the Georgia laws were not valid.

Alexander McGillivrayHe resisted efforts to force the Creek further West. He served as a British colonel and raided Whig settlements in Georgia and Tennessee. He also signed the Treaty of New York.
Worcester v. GeorgiaWorcester was the postmaster of New Echota who refused to sign the Oath of Allegience and was brought to jail for violating state law. He encouraged the natives to protest also.
Trail of TearsThe Trail of Tears was when Indians were kicked out of their homes by English Settlers and had to move West. Many died along the way by harsh weather conditions or starvation.
